Customers should maintain an appropriate backup of important information before providing a device for diagnosis or repair.
Computer and electronic-device repairs can involve risks including hardware failure, software corruption and data loss.
Unless Blue's Computer Repairs has specifically agreed to perform a backup, data transfer or data recovery service, the customer remains responsible for maintaining appropriate backups of their information.
Nothing in this Privacy Policy or our other terms is intended to exclude, restrict or modify any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
7. Data Recovery and Data Transfer
Where a customer specifically requests data recovery, backup, migration or transfer services, Blue's Computer Repairs may need to temporarily copy customer data to our equipment or storage systems.
Any temporary copy will only be used for the authorised service.
We will take reasonable steps to protect temporarily stored customer data and remove it when it is no longer reasonably required for the service, subject to any legal requirement or agreement requiring us to retain it.
Successful recovery of damaged, deleted, corrupted or inaccessible data cannot be guaranteed.
